US Customers - 2025

From 29 August 2025, the US government is introducing new import regulations that will affect all goods shipped from the UK to the United States — including purchases from our website.

These changes involve the removal of the “de minimis” exemption and the implementation of new tariffs and import taxes. This means all items imported into the US will now be subject to customs duties and taxes, regardless of their value.

What’s Changing?

Until now:

  • Goods valued under $800 could enter the US duty- and tax-free under the “de minimis” rule.

From 29 August:

  • All imported goods will be assessed by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) for applicable tariffs and import taxes.
  • No value-based exemptions will apply — even low-cost purchases will be taxed.
  • The amount you’ll be charged will depend on:
    • The product category (based on HS codes)
    • The declared value of the goods
    • Applicable tariff rates set by the US government
